My name is Amber Summerhayes and I am joint Centre Manager at Sunkids Robina, alongside Rebecca Politz. I have had the privilege of working in this beautiful brand new centre since it opened in August 2016.
My career in childcare began in 2009 when I was offered an assistant position with Sunkids. Within a short time, I realised I had found my passion for working with young children and loved being a part of their day-to-day development. Over the past seven years I have worked my way up from an Assistant to a Senior Educator, and now I am Centre Manager here at Robina and absolutely love it! I am so excited to be a part of this new centre, creating a warm, stimulating environment for young children.
I am currently studying my Bachelor in Primary Education in order to build upon the knowledge I have gained already. I believe I have an immense amount of experience and understanding of all aspects of the childcare industry, although I feel there is always room for improvement and further self-growth.
I have a beautiful family, which I just adore. My partner’s name is Tim and we have a blended family of three children. My daughter, Grace is two years old, Charli seven and Cameryn is 10. We enjoy lots of quality time together and love getting out of the house to explore all the things the Gold Coast has to offer!
I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you and welcoming you to our beautiful centre on a daily basis. My aim is to ensure we provide the highest quality education and care for your child. You can be rest assured that your little one will have the best start in life here with us at Sunkids Robina.
I look forward to meeting you.
I would like to warmly welcome you to our brand new Sunkids Centre at Robina. My name is Rebecca Politz and I am your new Centre Manager!
I began my career in the childcare industry as an Assistant in 1995. Over the past 20 years I have worked in various roles including Support Educator, Senior Educator, Nominated Supervisor and Training and Support Mentor to other Centres and Educators.
As I worked towards my ultimate goal as Director, I learnt many things from the wonders of children and in turn, take my role as an early childhood professional, graciously.
I married the love of my life, Chris, who is an amazing and supportive husband. I have three children; Darrien, Kyron and Sari. Our little girl Sari attends the Centre in the Toddlers Room on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. We spend our time together taking part in the many activities on the Gold Coast and enjoy socialising with our family and friends.
I have a very social and bubbly personality and one of the most enjoyable aspects of my role is welcoming you and your family into the Sunkids community. By ensuring that children and their families feel supported, we, as early childhood professionals, can create long-lasting relationships based on trust and respect.
I will be creating an environment that educators can work together as a fun, energetic team and regularly attend professional development courses to provide the highest quality education and care for your child.
You can be confident that your child will be provided with the best start in life – a foundation for future success.
My door is always open and I look forward to meeting you and your family.
